The healthcare industry requires highly trained professionals who will ultimately improve patient care through best management practice. The MHSA can help you advance your career in a multitude of healthcare organisations, including hospitals, government agencies, clinics, pharmaceutical companies, insurance firms, nongovernmental organisations and biotechnology firms.
The programme’s multidisciplinary curriculum, addressing clinical, economic, ethical, political, technical, social and environmental challenges, is in line with our vision to prepare healthcare managers for a range of important roles, both locally and globally. The MHSA equips students with the core knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage and lead healthcare organisations, exploit the potential for innovation, and provide vision and strategic direction. More specifically, our innovative curriculum allows students to gain an in-depth understanding of new advances in digital health innovation and management, including the use of artificial intelligence, digital platforms, the Internet of Things and blockchain technologies across a range of organisational functions such as finance, operations, human resource management, and clinical leadership.
The programme provides students with the unique opportunity to custom-design their learning experience to match their professional development and educational goals. In fact, students may choose one of the three available elective paths that suit their own needs. For example, students will be able to develop an innovative idea into a start-up, tackle a challenge in their own work environment, obtain deeper knowledge in specialised areas of health services innovation and management or conduct a research study to address a public health problem. Each student will be assigned an academic mentor, who will work with them to help them choose the optimal learning path for their career aspirations.
This is an exciting time to be working in the healthcare sector, with the industry undergoing major transformations and reform. The MHSA can help you serve your community better and advance your career.
